Below is the online nomination form for the William R. Simms Awards for Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy, sponsored by CARTER.

Nominees will be considered for the award based on the responses to the criteria in the nomination form (below).

Eligibility & Judging Factors
The nominee must be 18 or younger on the date nominations are due: December 20, 2023.

Eligible nominees will then be considered for the award based on the responses to the following:

Note: The maximum number of words for the entire nomination is 2,000. This includes text for ALL of the criteria. Nominators are free to divide the words for each criterion however they like, but the total word count should not exceed 2,000. You will be notified if you exceed 2,000 words and asked to modify your submission.

Please note: All questions and fields are required.

1. Description in detail of what the nominee did, including goals, process, budget (if relevant) and other people involved in the process (adult leaders or adviser, etc.) and of the time, talent and/or treasure the youth gave for the common good and the results that were achieved. (0-40 points)

2. Description of the impact the nominee had on the community, including numbers of people involved, financial impact, organizations helped, etc. Please include the names and contact information of individuals at the organizations who benefited from the nominee’s work. (0-30 points)

3. Long term (3-5 years) impact of the nominee’s work. Will the project(s) be ongoing and has the nominee considered next steps or is working on other projects? (0-20 points)

4. Evidence that the project(s) can serve as a prototype for others or is easily replicable in other communities. (0-10 points)
